Eco-motion
Future transportation system for the dense urban environment of Shanghai
The design of ‘Eco-motion’ broadened the scope of the brief on designing a mobility solution for the densely populated context of Shanghai, China. Problems such as pollution, energy creation and mobility are integrated into a one system solution. This system would see these automated cars not only move people around but by utilising Siemens ‘smart wheel technology’ and WREL technology in the elevated rail, meant it possible to extract energy from the kinetic energy of the movement of these cars. I was selected to present this to Tongi University in Shanghai, on the first QUT Industrial Design study tour.
